Hillcrest Bakery makes a perfect Italian torte. Tastes exactly like the cakes I had as a child from the Italian bakeries in Vancouver. We did an 8 inch round and cut 7 large pieces. My only recommendation would be to add more cream puffs!

Sometimes I take this cake to Vancouver. It’s a family favourite – not too sweet. We order the 8 inch square and substitute the cream puffs with dark chocolate dipped strawberries (extra charge but still very reasonable). A generous 12 servings.
